Privacy Policy

This policy covers both this website (getflocus.in) and the Flocus mobile app. Flocus is a 1:1 AI tutoring app; this document explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Data we collect in the app

• Account information. Sign-in is handled by Clerk (email/authentication provider details). We use this to identify your account and link your tutoring history to you.
• Tutoring activity. Session transcripts, teach-back answers, practice/recall results, and the learner profile we build from them (how you learn best, what's worked, what's worth double-checking) are stored in our database (Firebase/Firestore) so your tutor can pick up where you left off.
• Photos you attach. If you photograph a problem to ask about, that image is sent to our tutoring service to be read and discussed, then handled the same way as the rest of your session data. Camera access is only requested when you choose to attach a photo.
• Subscription data. Payments and subscription status are handled by RevenueCat and the app store you purchased through (Apple/Google) — we don't see or store your payment card details.

Data we collect on this website

• Waitlist signups. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you provide in the same Firebase project as the app, in a collection used only for waitlist signups and launch announcements.
• Support messages. The support form on this site opens a pre-filled email to support@getflocus.in via your own email client — we don't store anything from that form on our servers until you actually send the email.
• Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics (aggregate, non-identifying page-view data) at all times, and optionally Google Analytics (GA4) — but only after you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. You can decline, and the site works exactly the same either way.

How we use this data

To run your tutoring sessions, personalize what your tutor emphasizes, remember your progress between sessions, process subscription payments, respond to support requests, and tell you when Flocus becomes available if you've joined the waitlist. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your tutoring content to advertise to you.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers required to run Flocus: Clerk (authentication), Firebase/Google Cloud (data storage, and optionally analytics), RevenueCat and the relevant app store (subscriptions), and the AI model providers that power tutoring responses. Each only receives what's necessary to perform their function.

Data retention

We keep your account and tutoring history for as long as your account is active, so your learner profile and progress remain useful. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@getflocus.in. Waitlist emails are kept until launch communications are complete or you ask us to remove them.

Children's privacy

Flocus is built for students preparing for courses, exams, and interviews, which may include users under 18 studying with a parent or guardian's awareness. We do not knowingly collect more data from younger users than is necessary to provide tutoring, and we don't use their data for advertising.

Your choices

• Decline optional analytics cookies at any time via the banner.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing us.
• Unsubscribe from waitlist emails via the link in any email we send.
